Participants icon > on Participant side panel, click Claim Host on bottom right.Īfter you click Claim Host a pop-up window will ask for you to enter the Host Key. To claim the Host Role, click on Participants and a side-bar will pop up on the right. Click to 'Join with Computer Audio' and if you wish check the box at the bottom that says 'Automatically join audio by computer when joining a meeting.'Īt this point, the screen will show the settings for a regular participant. When Zoom opens, you will need to choose your audio settings. Click the button that says 'Open ' and then you can close that browser screen. Then a window will pop up for joining zoom. Make a note of that 6-digit number as you will have to enter into the Zoom meeting to claim host role.Īfter clicking Register on Zoom button, a new button will appear for you to click: Press here to join. On this page, the host is given the Host Key.The host will enter the meeting as a participant and then have to claim the host role.Please read the instructions on that page: Please note: If you are hosting a group led meeting on Zoom with one or two other peer supporters, you each will sign in to the meeting using the Host Key, but only one person at a time can claim the Host Role once you are within the meeting.When members click to JOIN within the 15 minute start time window, they will see a countdown until the exact start of the meeting, or they will be placed in the waiting room if that feature is enabled for the meeting.Īfter clicking JOIN, you will be taken to a page that says 'This meeting will be conducted on zoom.'

Hosts will be let into the meeting space immediately after clicking to JOIN. Please note: the JOIN button will only appear when it is within 15 minutes of the start time of the meeting.When you are ready to join your meeting you can do so in 2 different locations: either from your My Meetings tab or the Organization's meeting page. When it is within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time of the meeting, all hosts can JOIN the meeting.

You can get back to this screen at anytime on the website by clicking on the HeyPeers logo in the top left hand corner of the page. When you log into you HeyPeers account you will brought to the HeyPeers homepage dashboard.
